David C. James
Bloomsburg Attorney at LawDavid is a partner at Hill, Turowski, James & Lehman, LLP. He was born and raised in Bloomsburg and graduated from Lafayette College in 2007 with degrees in both government and law and in philosophy. David earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University in 2010, and his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 2013.
While in law school, David was an executive board member for Duquesne’s Appellate Moot Court Board and an editor for Duquesne’s Criminal Law Journal.
Prior to joining Harding, Hill, Turowski & James LLP, David worked for the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the office’s Preliminary Hearing, Trial (per case), and Appellate Divisions. He became a partner at Harding, Hill, Turowski & James, LLP, in 2019.
David’s practice includes preparing estate planning documents such as wills, financial power of attorneys, living wills, and trusts, estate administration, general civil litigation, real estate transactions, family law, landlord and tenant law for both landlords and tenants, PFA law, and business transactions.
David is a Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Columbia-Montour Bar Association, for which he served as both President and Vice President and is a licensed real estate title insurance agent for the First American Title Insurance Corporation.
